Happy Thanksgiving

The weather report this morning was for significant snow and the Doppler radar picture was equally as bleak yet nothing had fallen. I thought to myself, "The temperature is at thirty-one, a little cold but nothing is coming down and I need groceries. Do I dare?" I dared.

Brrrr

I don't think a title like that needs much explanation. At this moment Weatherbug.com says its fourteen degrees with a wind chill of two degrees. If I was foolish enough to venture forth on two wheels today I would be facing wind chills hovering around minus twenty degrees. That is too cold for me these days.
Back in 1982 I made a fateful decision that exposed me to riding in this kind of weather and I paid the price. I had decided rather than fix a car I would ride my fairly new Kawasaki year...

A Choice

It's no secret, if you are one of my steady readers, that I have a garage full of two wheeled transportation. The four bikes are always poised and ready to go. The mission will dictate what my choice is...sometimes. Lately I've had the luxury of the Honda Rebel as an alternative. Sara has taken a sabbatical from riding and it's my duty to keep the dust off it. Still Riding

I've been cleared to ride by a Higher Authority so I'm back on the road. No, not by the doctors. Sara has let me loose after many of the tasks I've had to do showed I was up for it. This morning, for example, I took the 150cc scooter to Bainbridge to attend the funeral service of the husband of a good friend.
